Hey all you Snow Bunnies! Strap on your gear and lets hit the slopes!
Yes, it’s time once again for Preston’s annual ski trip to the Wellington Resort. For all of you freshmen, and other newcomers, out there reading this; what?! We’re in New Hampshire and you don’t expect us to have a ski trip? You’re freaking trippy man.
Speaking of ‘tricky’ (I know, bad segway, do you think I care?) the Big Air competition is still on for this year, even after last year’s speculations that the competition was rigged. This girl still stands that Gordie V.’s McTwist 720 was better than Mitch H.’s Wildcat. No offense Mitch, we love you. Well, I don’t but I’m sure someone does... Somewhere. Maybe your mom or something... Moving on! The Ski Relay is going to be organized by Coach this year, which means no picking your own teams guys, sorry. Just hope you don’t get one of the Art majors on your team. Teams are staying as groups of four, probably to get one person from each major to make it even so the Dancers don’t show everyone else up. The Snowman Building competition will be in groups of two this year, and you’re going to have to bring your own carrots guys! The Ice Sculpture is cancelled! I repeat: cancelled! Due to last year’s incident with the tools. Yeah, I thought the Art Majors were supposed to know what they were doing too.
For those of you who don’t like the snow and the cold and would rather stay inside, there are some things set up for you guys too. Hot chocolate and hot cocoa are always available, and cookies and other winter goodies, in the main lodge. The Gingerbread House making will be in the kitchen this year, and not in the hall, because the Theater Majors decided to have an icing fight last year and they had to replace the wallpaper. So the fireplace’ll be lit once all the snow goers come back inside from their winter fun, and we’ll all cozy up by the fire (watch the hands boys) and talk about winters past. All in all it looks like it would be a great time to scope out a date for the Christmas dance!
So, moving on to what you’re all reading this for; the dirt. Unfortunately, I don’t have much to talk about for this week, but the few things I do are pretty big.
Jolene P. and Lucas M. are FINALLY together. So let’s all breathe a sigh of relief and let out all the frustration we had with them! It took them long enough, right? We can all sing in a chorus of ‘I told you so’s at their wedding, which will happen if this girl has anything to say about it!
Another relationship has started. Anaalese E. and Jean-Claud dV. are reported as being together. Not quite sure how long that will last. One of the most unlikely couples Preston has ever seen. If anyone’s taking bets, I’ve got fifty bucks that it lasts less than 10 days.
Only a few more things to report on.
Apparently, some students have started sneaking out to the woods at night. Just as it’s starting to get cold. Well, aren’t they smart. According to my reliable sources, Aaliyah R. Anaalese E. and Antoinette R. were all seen hanging out in the forest a few nights back. What they were doing there, I have no idea, but with the ghetto girl, the emo one, and the prep, one can only guess.
And now, the pinnacle of this whole update; the Seniors were messing around in the lounge this week. Apparently, their game of Truth or Dare got a little out of hand when the alcohol was brought out. This girl thinks it was whiskey, but with these seniors, you never know. So if you were wondering why some of them seemed sluggish the morning after, can you say ‘hangover’ baby? Well, I think that’s it for now.
Just remember loves, don’t eat the yellow snow!
